In fairness on the acer bit, I have a V5-561G which is of the same era as this. It was supposed to get 4.5 hours of battery life presumably idle, but while the battery was still fresh it was getting 6 hours of use editing google docs in Firefox

Check out the position of the "del" button! This is a huge deal breaker for me :(

Good day,

I'm wondering which is better between this acer and the asus UX302LG. It would be wonderful if you can compare this with the asus UX302LG especially that the UX302LG has a graphics card.
In my opinion, this stirs up a competition with this acer s3.

Thank you

the function keys are merged with the number keys, requiring you to hold fn to access.

I am really interested in this laptop. My only concern that there is no possibility to increase the RAM.  would like to ask if this is indeed the case at least for the German models....

I was on the verge of buying this laptop, but then I read some other reviews. They mention far worse battery life than your review, even Acer themselves only claim a maximum of 6.5 hours of battery life. I wonder how you reached 10 hours. Even it if was idle, it still seems impossible, as it far exceeds Acer's own optimistic calculations.

Slim, fast and gaming-ready. In 2011, Acer introduced the Aspire S3-951, the first ever Ultrabook. After three years, we are delighted to meet the successor, the Aspire S3-392G. A strong Haswell CPU, a gaming-ready GPU and a lot of memory is packed into this small, compact computer. Our review will reveal what this 13.3 inch machine is capable of.
