After 15 months of heavy use I only can say that the Vostro 3460 is a very good Laptop.

 VOSTR0 3460 IS TERRIBLE. CAN'T WAIT TO GET RID OF IT. DOES ITS OWN THING. CANNOT DISABLE THE MOUSE PAD ETC  >:(

I am very disappointed with VOSTRO 3460. With in 6 months, my display changed due to screen flicking. Now sound is not working some times, even after display change screen is flicking..!! very disappointed...!!!

To varadha...Get your drivers right I got great sound in HP and touchpad CAN scroll...Children should not be able to comment!

the headphone produce the worst sound effect ever in laptop history......

touch pad has no scrolling options, this shows the mindless design by dell...

I've recieved mine with the new Core i7 and 8gb ram today and the screen looks like an old tft, very dissapointed with it. The one on my old 1510 looks better

The Vostro 3460 does support a maximum 16GB of RAM, eventhough officially it only supports upto 8GB.
