It still has a steering wheel. Proves they aren't serious. Cybercab is already scaling production. VW can't do software. Will require multiple businesses taking a cut. Uber etc. Tesla vertically integrated. Car efficiency is one aspect of many. This won't be cost competitive to cybercab by a long margin

Ev Efficiency should be way further up the list of priorities while energy densities are so limited and costly. Pretty funny that it is so similar to GM's EV1 30 years ago and it would be fitting for this to become a huge hit for VW when GM scrapped it and their own chances to be a leader in the space.
