I just made the switch from 11 to Mint 2 weeks ago. It's different definitely but also very very similar to windows. It's been a rough 2 weeks learning the ins and outs but I'm generally all set up now and cruising.
Linus Tech Tips ran a simple side-by-side comparison of RAM usage on Windows 11 and Linux. Unsurprisingly, Windows 11 is shown to use much more RAM for the same tasks as Linux. However, both systems never got close to exceeding their RAM buffers.
