More than one year after the watch came out, and after 5 or 6 major software updates, the most serious problem of this watch, when using the major feature you bought this watch for, has not been fixed yet.
So you have bought this for ultra running, because of the long battery life, and when you use it for ultra running with navigation on (a big help during these runs), the watch crashes and reboots.
I feel like a beta tester. And I cannot figure out their priorities, adding a ton of new features with every update, and not fixing a major problem.
They should have a person (or a car, it doesn't matter), running around trying to replicate the problem. Instead they are waiting for me (and probably others), to run their next ultra (which is not often, due to the difficulty) and submit a crash report after the event, which when it happens, it ruins your track, timing etc. And if you are lucky you will notice the crash quickly, and restart the activity.
Garmin has started to push a new beta update to users of the Instinct 3 series smartwatches. In the release notes, the company states that it has fixed a couple of issues, one of which is related to a recently added feature.
