Google has unveiled its Nano Banana 2.1 image model. In Google's own tests, it reportedly outperforms both its predecessor and the Pro model, with improvements to editing specific parts of an image and maintaining people's appearance across multiple editing steps. For developers, the price per image drops by roughly half, although input costs are higher.
