The Galaxy Z Fold8 is by no means the first foldable device designed to combine a smartphone and a tablet in a single device. Google and Oppo have already demonstrated that this concept can be implemented with significantly wider outer and inner screens. So Samsung didn't invent this form factor; rather, it's reimagining it with modern technology.
