Tired of the bad trope of male characters being replaced by females one. Especially when it doesn't fit. Ciri should never have become a Witcher lore-wise and story-wise. Bold move from "CD Project Red" even though the team that made the previous Witcher games is long gone.
CD Projekt Red joint CEO Michal Nowakowski has confirmed that The Witcher 4 will ship in a physical box with collectible extras, even if Sony's decision to end disc production for new PlayStation games in January 2028 leaves the package without a disc. The studio is targeting a 2028 launch, and the game is already running on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X and S.
