They already have our fingerprints, now they want to collect our faces.. in the age of AI that can put these faces anywhere.. Yup, definitely will give it to google. I can trust them, right?
I share your sentiment re. privacy, etc. but your claim is nonsense, selfie always meant what it means, a self-taken self-photo, nothing more and nothing less.
In the future, Google will let you access your account via a selfie video if you've been locked out. The company claims it can detect deepfakes. We took a look at what this protection actually achieves from a technical standpoint, where its limitations lie, and for whom this new recovery method is worthwhile.
