Experience is definitely not as smooth as with x86. Depending on the laptop and your expertise with linux, installation process can be anywhere from impossible to kind of ok. But then there is still a problem with performance - it's still significantly lower than on Windows. And you'll absolutely need to keep Windows partition for firmware and updates.

No, only MacOS X that bleeds white lymph and cries that the world isn't real. Of course it runs. Whether screen blanking and power management work like you want is up to 2D20 rolls (hope to beat 7.)
