Quote from: Eric G on Today at 07:59:21"no alternative to the PlayStation Store" - There most certainly is. XBOX has it's own marketplace for digital games. If you don't like Sony anymore, the choice is there to move to another console. Same defence Apple used with iTunes.

Reread the article R-tard. It's not about alternatives. It's about ownership and physical media laws.

Fkn always one PlayStation fanboy.

Watch this space. End of Sony on the Horizon. Posted: 16/07/2026

I look forward to the article saying Sony goes bust over illegal ownership and antitrust laws.

You can get the same iTunes music from other sources on PC (and Mac). You can't play Sony exclusives on Xbox. You've to be locked into their ecosystem and waive your ownership rights away. It is definitely monopolistic behaviour when you've no choice.

Sony's plan to end physical PlayStation releases in 2028 faces legal challenges from Dutch consumer advocates and Mexican lawmakers over competition, pricing and ownership concerns. Critics argue the move would eliminate resale markets and give Sony monopolistic control over game sales.
