Quote from: Emil2 on Yesterday at 21:25:10jojoba, well, here's another one: The Steam Machine has 8 GB VRAM and even big reviewers on YouTube complain about it.
And the first complains about the 8 GB of VRAM being an issue have been, among others, by Hardware Unboxed from 3-4 years ago and very soon after confirmed by many other big youtubers! Selling 8 GB of VRAM is arguing in bad faith for whatever satanic reason.

The sad part is, that this can so-so be called native fHD@60 with that gpu (some games will have issues with fhd ultra/high settings). The claims should at least be true at the time of release (obviously 5 yrs from now it will not run the latest games even in fHD without upscaling). But not with using shady marketing words. It's like selling you something which may, or may not do whatever it is meant to do. And you are safe because technically it's not lying... Sad world..

Hah of course. Have you seen video of MrWhoIsTheBoss and Markus Brownee about 'how tech companies are lying to you'? www youtube com/watch?v=JstGCPsj9wg
'Up to' is exactly one of the tactics. I wouldn't expect that from Valve.

Valve now admits that 4K/60 fps graphics are not always realistic with its new gaming system. After Steam Machine reviews exposed performance limitations, the company adjusted its marketing. The hardware's high price makes 1080p/1440p visuals not as appealing compared to PS5 consoles.
