The Surface Pro 8 is a nice piece of hardware, but 16 GB of RAM and a 256 GB SSD are simply not enough in 2026. Windows alone can consume around 45 GB of storage, leaving very little room for applications and files. The SSD can be upgraded, but the RAM is soldered and cannot, which makes the base model feel underpowered for anything beyond basic use.
