@CD: Don't those serious video editing apps prefer / require high memory bandwidth? That's one of the things I don't understand with this. Who wants this much ram on a 128 bit bus? One of the reasons why macs are good for video editing (among many other factors as well) is they have higher bandwidth on pro and max chips. This feels like a complete waste to me.
@Spuwho: Lenovo always do this. Give an overly inflated initial price then few months later give a "discount" which in reality isn't much a discount as that's what the original standard price was supposed to begin with. I hate this practice in the industry and think it should be stopped.

Really? I thought most them just got MBPs. I barely see ThinkPads used anymore besides few niche users like open source Linux advocates, Hackathons/CTFs, etc.
