A foolish idea to drop to 4GB of RAM. While I agree windows can struggle by with 4GB of RAM as it can with a 2 core, 4 threaded processor and boot off an 64GB eMMC storage chip - as soon as windows doggedly tries to update along with a background virus scan, it'll seriously struggles to do that, let alone do anything else for a good hour and a big plus later until completed as it deals with the impact of crippled resources.
While I accept I might be wrong, but windows has a poor track record of running well on underpowered ARM chips which is likely to be the case to meet the price point.
Now that the Apple MacBook Neo has made 8 GB RAM socially acceptable again, Windows laptops with 4 GB RAM could make a comeback. Because the Snapdragon C lowers the bar for price and performance, Acer is already pointing to models with the minimum possible specs.
