There doesn't (yet) exist a single LPCAMM2 module larger than 96 GB (Samsung's LPDDR5X-9600). Thus the "artificial" limitation.

For AI / LLM self-hosting: The APUs themself support up to 256 GB RAM, so Lenovo is artificially limiting it:
