Valves neuestes Zubehör ist möglicherweise nicht die All-in-one-Lösung, die manche Zocker erwartet haben. Trotz des hohen Preises werden PC-Nutzer zum Verkaufsstart des Steam Controllers keine Xbox-Game-Pass-Spiele unterstützt bekommen. Da keine XInput-Kompatibilität vorhanden ist, benötigen Spieler für den vollen Funktionsumfang die Steam-Software.
