In addition to repairability, the main advantages with Framework are their part-level upgradeablity, and the ability to repurpose older generations into standalone mini PCs.
Framework will always be nothing other than a niche manufacturer. The world has spoken and it prefers smaller, lighter, thinner to easier self repair because modern laptops almost never need to be repaired. The only time I've ever had to repair any of our half dozen MacBooks was because of a swelling battery. I just took it to the apple store, cost me $200 for a new battery, and the MacBook is still running great a decade after I bought it.
Framework is steadily growing with new products and availability in more regions. The company's latest notebook is the Framework Laptop 13 Pro. Framework's continued march forward has apparently attracted Dell's attention, as Dell is allegedly trying to sabotage Framework's influencer marketing on X.
