Sonys KI-Sparte hat einen Tischtennis-Roboter namens Ace entwickelt, der Elite-Spieler schlagen kann. In einer Nature-Studie wird das System als Meilenstein für physische KI beschrieben. Der Vergleich mit Menschen ist allerdings nicht ganz unumstritten , da Ace kein humanoider Roboter ist.
