Intels Prozessoren der Core-Ultra-X-Serie sind bislang gut aufgenommen worden. Neuen Gerüchten zufolge soll Microsoft jedoch vollständig auf diese Prozessoren verzichten. Berichten nach überspringen das Surface Pro 12 und das Surface Laptop 8 sogar den Core Ultra 9 386H zugunsten schwächerer Varianten der Reihen Core Ultra 5 und Core Ultra 7.
