Framework-CEO Nirav Patel warnt davor, dass der KI-Boom und ein "The winner takes it all"-Kampf um Chips und Speicher die Kosten für Komponenten weiter nach oben treiben und Verbraucher zu in sich geschlossenen Geräten drängen könnten, deren Nutzung nur noch über die Cloud gemietet wird.
