Only part I disagree with is key travel. There's never been a apple keyboard with enough key travel for me. Maybe with exception of desktop iMac keyboards.
Same for razer blades. Very similar situation to MacBooks. Absolutely despise them.
Regarding mem bandwidth, igpu perf and speakers - while it is nice, anyone serious will be using a different setup anyway (e.g. a chip with 256 bit or more bus, dgpu, dedicated speakers, etc).
Glad you're happy with it; Thanks for confirming!
It is obvious why the neo sells well on Amazon. Where I live anything offered by intel or AMD at same price range is like 3-4 years old. Anything latest cost a lot more and has zero availability. So outcome is obvious. When competition doesn't show up, this becomes the only option.
Can confirm: I was researching my next laptop and was first looking at the usual business laptops, but even the few years old ones are more expensive than a MacBook Air 15 M5 and the Air has the better display, almost 2x the memory bandwidth (upgradable 5600 MT/s vs soldered 9600 MT/s on the Air M5) , 2x the iGPU performance, the keyboard on the business doesn't stand out anymore (reduced key travel to 1.5mm), the Air has a much better trackpad (better than pretty much any Windows laptop), arguably looks better, no fans and super thin, slightly bigger display (15.3 vs 14, which [the 15.3 inch] I prefer), better speakers, and so I went and got the Air 15 M5.
Apple is killing it in the laptop market, as the MacBook Air 13 M5, MacBook Neo, and MacBook Air 15 M5 currently dominate Amazon's best-selling list. The MacBook Neo's success is not surprising, as it is an excellent $599 laptop and is practically unmatched in the Windows space.
