With all the real life killings we must witness on a daily basis, I prefer to have the cartoonish versions be prevalent. It's what made the original CS 1.6 so entertaining. So much so that it still has a large following, although a limited amount of servers these days. This floating stairwalk is hilarious. My favorite animation of all time in CS is the head shot in 1.6 that results in the opponent popping up in the air and going stiff as a board. Brings up a laugh every time I see it!
Not every Counter-Strike update is good, and not every video essay is worthy of an essay—but Counter-Strike 2's new animgraph overhaul ported and overhauled rom Half-Life: Alyx may be worth revisiting the game.
