2026 is not a good year to buy a laptop. Intel chips are expensive, supposedly due to the new node, but the changes aren't significant enough to justify such a price increase. Also, with artificial intelligence, you need at least 32GB of RAM to work effectively. I would wait until 2027 for the new NovaLake and AMD Zen 6 AI processors, which are focused on artificial intelligence.
LG has started selling new 16-inch laptops with AMD Gorgon Point and Intel Panther Lake processors. Featuring a new Aerominum composite body, the Gram Pro 16 has reached China and Japan with optional 120 Hz OLED displays and a 77 Wh battery across all SKUs before an eventual global release.
