I mean, okay:
"E-waste, or electronic waste, refers to any discarded,
broken, or
obsolete electrical or electronic device, including its components and subassemblies"
It's already out of date. You may argue it's good enough to do calls. Id argue just get a something 10 years old that doesn't run android or iOS, if you're not interested in specs then or a 5 year old used a android. Would be cheaper too. This does nothing. It brings nothing.
It's imagination tech power vr drivers are literally broken if you wanna do anything more than draw a window on your display and video playback.
Id say qualifies as discarded handed down Samsung silicon with barely any modification by Google. But at this point that would be too charitable. It's actually worse than Samsung, at least with exynos you get rDNA igpu.
Literally most OEMs are giving 5+ years, quite a few expanding to 6-7 now. That's no longer a valid selling point.
Another definition:
"Any item with a plug, cord, or battery that is
no longer needed or functional."
What's
your definition of e-waste?
I just can't see anyone arguing the case from any other side. You don't need to be a fanboi of anything, it's basic logic.
Did I forget the mention the efficiency is trash too compared to other SoCs? Meaning you'll be putting more stress on battery meaning it dies quicker, meaning more charge cycles and wear - which will result in faster replacement of battery or getting a new phone. Thereby producing even more e-waste from all that.
I guess you could make the point that that batteries are recyclable but they have to undergo certain processes which requires energy, something which is finite and limited on this planet which we shouldn't be wasting.
Should I go on or is that enough? :/ stop defending this piece of garbage.
