The new DXR specifications include features like clustered geometry, partitioned TLAS and indirect acceleration structure operations, which should accelerate ray tracing rendering performance by enabling more efficient geometry and scene processing on the GPU side. Additionally, the GPU can now perform some of the tasks that were traditionally processed on the CPU side.
