You guys are honestly arguing over a multi trillion $ companies product when WW3 is just about to start which intern will further exacerbate the already dismal supply / pricing issues. It's already being reported from multiple insiders within OEMs and distribution channels that laptop prices are soon about to go up by a further 50% or more for all OEMs, irrespective of your opinion on apple.

Seriously, absolutely disgraceful.

Soon we won't be able to afford any laptop, so non of this matters.

Back to desktop's it is, not even DIY since pricing of those ads equally obscene but low end pre-builts mini pc's like steam machine, if that ever is released now.

Wait for v2, Apple is notoriously issuing half-baked v1 to test the waters - and then all of a sudden they will be able to outfit the v2 with 12 GB of RAM and a basic backlit keyboard for the same price.

People's ability to read and understand is really questionable. So, let me quote the part straight from the article and I will bold and even underline the crucial parts, to help you:

QuoteTo be fair, the executive did specifically mention that no compromises were made in terms of design. As plenty of rumors had predicted in the past, Apple did indeed opt for an all-aluminum build, instead of opting for a cheaper plastic enclosure which would have definitely helped with costs.

Now, dear ofc APPLEwould say this, explain how 8 GB of RAM fits in the look/aesthetics and build quality of the laptop (which is why it's slightly heavier); does more RAM actually make more sturdier (and lighter) laptop, with better overall build quality and even nicer colours?

Also, why the RAM upgrade, etc., in Neo 2 when no comprises: notebookchat.com/index.php?topic=300433.0 ("Apple MacBook Neo 2 to receive touchscreen, performance and RAM upgrades").

You have no slightest idea what you are talking about. Literally any other company would have a team of engineers to design a cheaper product that would be inferior in design. In every possible even smallest detail.

Apple is the exception. Apple promises that this is it.
Complete transparency. A18 Pro / 8 GB RAM, no backlit kb, entry model w/o fingerprint reader and w/ simple touchpad.
Otherwise, we will get the same <3 device.
Same CNC machining. Same metal quality. Same panel quality. Same keyboard. Same plastic quality. No software catch.

Looks like the paid apple fanboy bots are working overtime to push the macbook propaganda this week. You shills are FLOODING every Mac article on this site and not only sound like the same regurgitated nonsense people post on macrumors, but make itvso obvious its like 5vof the same people using different names and chatgpt ridden comments with the same grammar and comment style. Literally gen over yourselves apple has done NOTHING special and the neo is a poorly spec'd laptop for its price.

An Apple VP has claimed in a recent interview that the MacBook Neo does not feature any design compromises, which definitely appears to be an honest take. The Neo has many compromises, but its design and build quality are unlikely to draw any major complaints.
