I did the same back in the days.
The world in crisis he's talking about is in his head, all he is looking for is an explanation, which means a complete rewiring from the slave state he was taught to be.
What he will understand is that the "world" is a mere reflection interpreted relatively to his knowledge, which is controlled by those with power through disciplinary institutions.
99% of zombies don't even understand the issue of being controlled through "their own",as they think, world view, which was was forced on them starting with their families
