AMD burning processors is as old as the brand itself. In the 90s, AMD processors would burn up holes in itself. This is an AMD issue...

The consumer should not be bothered by this. What is ASROCK even doing that they can't fix this (started with Ryzen 7000 series, may be even earlier). I'd avoid ASSROCK until AM6 and only get their Motherboards after confirmation that they have fixed the issue.

From what I've seen discussed in Asrock forums, Asrock MB's can be too aggressive with voltages and it is important to manually configure the MB and set Vcore < 1.2V, something in the 1.15-1.18V range. Also, manually enter values for PPT, EDC etc and undervolt ~-20 all cores as a safety precaution. Vcore fluctuates too much on Asrock even if set at something like 1.2V, it can hit 1.26V.

There are some superb guides on youtube on how to safely set up your 9800X3D on Arock, but the rules apply to all the Zen 5 cpu's as even 9600X's are dying.

ASRock has responded to the community outcry regarding AMD Ryzen 9000 CPUs burning up in its motherboards, although no clear instructions were given to customers regarding how to prevent the same. The company had previously issued BIOS updates, but the problem continues to persist.
