If it wasn't for the RAMdemic, we'd be in a golden age for mid-tier gaming.
I recently purchased 4 of the GMKTec K12's, which comes with a Ryzen h255 APU, which has 8c/16t, has 3 NVMe slots, and can also take 96GB DDR5, and the killer feature is the USB4 and oh it also has Oculink.. I paid £165 each (brand new), this included free delivery, and they arrived with-in 2 days (which means they were shipped from the UK)...
Unfortunately, most UK residents still fail to shop around, so they flock to Amazon, where they are getting fleeced - Though blame lays squarely with GMKTec who own the listing, and are selling the same K12 model with a tiny bit of RAM and tiny NVMe for £650-700.
Thankfully, there are some other brands selling the same APU, barebones, for around £300...
The lesson here is, don't trust the price you see on Amazon.. shop elsewhere first, especially if its a Chinese brand!
