Yeah, it does feel that way doesn't it? It puts emphasis where there is none, and doesn't feel like they've actually watched these videos, just skimmed the transcripts It doesn't feel like they've actually watched watched Russ' (Retro Game Corps) video at all. (And I'd assume same goes for the other video cited) I know that, because I have watched Russ' video(s) on it. And I'd hardly say he said all that much negative on it, basically saying it might not be worth it if you have a 5 or competing device, but otherwise it's fairly competent for the price range, despite a few minor gripes. I don't mean to speak for Russ or anyone here, but that's just not the impression his video(s) on the RP6 (there's two, one of some initial thoughts of his when he got his hands on a review unit, and another video, this one being kind of a finalized review when he got his own "retail" unit. This article only cites the second one, and very poorly imo. Like an AI summary turned into a video. I don't know why they thought two samples are enough to show a consensus like the headline implies either. Lmfao what a junk article.
This article feels like clickbait, as it makes it seem like RGC had more of an issue with the texture than he seemed to in his video. And citing only two reviews but making the headline read in a way that implies there's a consensus on the topic is wild to me. Plus calm down a bit, it's hardly a knock to say "eh I wish they didn't change that". Between that and the ABYX being on the right side of the units, and NOT the left tells me you didn't either care enough to proof-read it, you haven't actually seen one of these units, and/or you're just terribly paraphrasing. Sad showing, Habeeb. But I mildly expect it these days.
Early reviews of the Retroid's latest handheld have begun to surface. While the Pocket 6 has mostly received praise, there are complaints about parts of its design, which is amusing considering Retroid had to redesign it after an initial backlash.
