Correct, TVs have good enough speakers. Build-in apps are available in some monitors too. But (modern smart) TVs also have a Game Mode and no input lag (and the unnecessary picture processing is disabled): It's almost like they are intended for gaming...

They also have better picture processing, built in speakers, built in apps, and come significantly bigger than any monitor. It's almost like they are intended for different use cases...

Asus has opened US preorders for its new glossy Tandem OLED gaming monitor. It pairs a 1440p 540Hz panel with a 720Hz dual mode, improved brightness, a proximity sensor, and DisplayPort 2.1 (UHBR20), though pricing is on the high side.
