Gee a PC for ~$300USD? Where do I sign up?

First and foremost, hitting the sub-$500USD market involves compromises. Period.

While in 2025 thrifty shoppers CAN find systems that run on WIN11 for even less cost, the usefullness of these systems might be questionable depending on targeted use cases.

These systems can very easily function in light to medium home and work settings. Buyers need to merely add display+mouse+keyboard along with needed/desired applications.

There are plenty enough cores/threads, RAM and iGPU functionality to handle just about ANY popular thin client. (most clients run very well on far less hardware!)

Those that use ALTERNATIVE operating systems (like Linux) with less overhead & footprint might find systems configured like this one to be more than enough resources and performance for their needs.

The Oculink port offers the buyer expandability options that many more expensive systems don't include.

It would of been nice to have VESA mount options but not a show stopper.

How is this "professional"? It has only 16 GB soldered RAM.. (due to RDNA2, it's also only at 6400 MT/s..but soldered 16 gig is just: wth..it is affordable who, that I give you (expected/ok price, unless I'm missing something))

Quote16 GB
, LPDDR5, 6400 MT/s, Soldered, Dual-Channel
Why is the color indicator with 16 GB RAM sometimes yellow and sometimes green? Where can one read up on your definition of it?

The NucBox M8 isn't trying to be the fastest mini PC out there, but its balanced approach to performance and price makes it much easier to recommend for most general applications.
