I love the look of it and had it ordered. But the lack of a right stick for camera control made me have a rethink.
I think the controller could be amazing for vr etc. But without anyway to bank and move the camera at the same time, I'm not sure how many flyers will get on with it.
It's a well-designed, well-built piece of kit that really rises to the challenge. I wouldn't have resumed flight simming without it; I used to be a hardcore simmer with all the peripherals but I want to desk-fly again without cables, multiple USB hubs and all that. The Echo controller is the solution and has exceeded my already high expectations. Just one thing: the downloadable profiles do not currently work in MSFS 2024. Several other Echo users have reported this. I hope the devs fix these htm files.
The Echo Aviation Controller is now being sold directly by Honeycomb. The gamepad comes with six downloadable profiles for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, utilizes Hall effect sensors and can be used for playing on the go.
