QuoteAm I just looking for new excuses to avoid diving in?

Yup! All-day you are.

1. I have had my son on my shoulders & have my baby-girl rocking in my arms; got it done while my son had milk in my hair.

2. A hobby with a long-term investment, control over the content our family views (without being handcuffed or blindsided by sneaky Hollywood agendas), & having a great time catching BF, ect., great deals, & more throughout the year; with hundreds of movies/tv shows we've collected that we haven't even watched yet, all ready to go when we are.

3. Totally disagree. Today, just a few streaming services... could easily top over old cable bills a month/year; but instead, that money goes towards our hardware, ect... savings that has paid for itself many times over; but with the extra benefits of having the highest visuals & audio quality that the streaming services will never match.

4. Nah, not as dramatic as it seems. Patients is key here.

In short; anything that's worth it, requires some breathing.

If you're happy watching whatever it is the streaming services offer then you're good. Maybe this year they'll offer 400 variations on the western, with 4 stars.

I find the idea of self-hosting fascinating. I read about it regularly, and as someone who reviews PC hardware, I'm practically surrounded by ideal conditions—and gear—to finally get started. I've even tested devices that would be perfect for it. Yet despite thinking about it constantly, I still haven't fully committed. Why?
