Based on my own observations, I would say that this is the first report I've seen that seems to accurately estimate the current effects of AI in the workplace.
AI definitely boosts productivity, no doubt. I can see it in my own and my colleagues' work. However, while the boost is real, it's currently not to the degree that AI companies hyping the technology are claiming that it does.
OpenAI's latest report shows that AI really is saving workers time and improving work quality, just not by much. Most employees are reclaiming only 40 to 60 minutes a day, far from the sweeping disruption many predicted. The AI revolution is here, but its productivity benefits remain modest.
