Let us be clear about something, AI isn't changing how people write or speak. If anything it is the opposite, people are shifting away from AI way of writing/speaking.

Their whole methology is one of the doom scenarios of LLM based AI. When we started, humans dominated the internet so the AI was trained on "quality" data. As time passed, more and more AI content started to dominate the internet. Thus, AI is poisoning itself as it reads more AI content and assumes that people's writing styles have changed where in reality it is just reading content from other AI

The same for the so called speech patterns, the authors clearly don't know that their source of youtube is now plagued with AI chat bots creating content like documentaries and other stuff. Most people don't even notice until the AI voice chat bot says something weird or gets jammed into repetition.

Real people are actually avoiding AI type speech and writings to not be accused of being an AI bot.

Large language model bots like ChatGPT or Google Gemini have already changed written communications. It appears that they are now affecting how humans speak, too.
