OnePlus 13 vs OnePlus 15:
27% faster Mozilla Kraken 1.1 and +49% in Speedometer 2.0 are nice, but -33% in Speedometer 3 and -39% in Jetstream 2 ?

QuotePower consumption was relatively high even under light loads, and the review device never dropped below 1.2 watts.
Weeeell, for battery life it matters how often one has to charge it, so a bigger battery means less charging cycles, BUT of course that would not be good for any company, oh nonono, so they have to "compensate" for the battery life by forcing you to charge more often and negate the in theory long battery life. (how fast a battery is charged and how full, is less relevant to its life and how often matters by far the most)

QuoteSoftware – 6-year updates
These phones are so fast, even the few years older ones, that when the software support ends, they would still be very usable. So it really needs to be extended to 7-8 years. And the node improvements are also not as fast anymore, as the benchmarks and power consumption confirms (=low power efficiency improvements year-over-year; See power efficiency tests by geekerwan: youtube.com/watch?v=YJaHi-gZESo "Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen5 Review: Regular Upgrade")

Quoteback cover partly plastic instead of glass
And I always prefer plastic over glass as it's less likely so crack and makes for a lighter and cheaper phone.

1+ is doing exactly that since the 5T.

Why put out a phone that crashes, and is crashing for many?  That's a serious negative mark on OnePlus, and I'll reconsider using them moving forward if this is the perspective they take.

"Never Settle." is indeed the perspective I will take with this incomplete device.

Well, this explains why the Odin 3 went with 8 Elite now and didn't instead wait for this upgrade. Seems 8 Elite Gen 5 is a bit of a hot mess. And it's happening on every phone with this SoC so unless there's some magical firmware update doubt a fix is coming.

The OnePlus 15 is very stylish looking and somewhat cheaper than other high-end smartphones. Being able to deliver up to 165fps in games comes at the cost of a slightly scaled-down camera system, and also some performance issues we encountered in our tests.
