Megapixels are not the biggest factor in image quality. Complaining about lack of megapixels is silly. There are phones with 100 megapixel sensors that still don't hold a candle to traditional digital cameras.
I am fully disappointed, therefore as > 10years Sony user I hope that Nikon will soon come up with the Nikon Z 7 III that will meet my expectations. I'd a pity that Sony didn't come up with a 44 Mpx for this camera. So you lost a customer
