Lenovo often gives the Intel configurations an advantage or places limitations on the AMD versions.

For example, the ThinkPad P14 and P16 with AMD processors can't be configured with both the higher-end display and the top-tier CPU, while the Intel models offer both options.

When AMD versions are cheaper, it could be OK but when it is not it is hard to understand Lenovo's strategy.

Lenovo's multimedia laptop Yoga Pro 7 14 is available with Intel as well as AMD processors. If you get an Intel SKU, you will also get a slightly better OLED display as well as a card reader. But is it also the better overall package?
