Isn't this actually the USB 4.0 v2 spec that it's supporting, which is mostly the same as Thunderbolt 5 and so different to the original USB 4.0 spec which was mostly the same as TB3/4.
Hyper has introduced a new USB4 M.2 SSD enclosure with blistering-fast 80 Gbps speeds. Set to launch in late Q4, it supports PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSDs up to 2280 as well as external power delivery for sustained peak performance.
