They should also absolutely expand the SSD bay to allow double sided SSDs to enable 8TB capacity. GPD already has the almost PERFECT laptop for high power engineering and other applications on the go / in the lab. They have got to realize that local LLMs and datasets are becoming prevalent amongst those who know what they're doing. Having the m.2 2230 for OS and m.2 2280 double-sided for data and applications with 8TB capacity would increase sales. It was the SINGLE constraint holding me back from buying several Win Max 2s for my team. I've pinged them several times about this, but just not getting through to them unfortunately.

GPD would hit a bullseye with such a laptop form/factor. There is a big community of power-users who are already looking for a small laptop with the might and power of Nvidia/AMD dGPU, e.g., field engineers, scientists, aerospace engineers, software engineers, media engineers, game developers, and anyone who needs a powerful laptop on the go and is tired of carrying a 4-kilo, 18-inch monstrosity with them.

And of course, there is even a much bigger market of gamers that would gladly buy such a device.

I myself am one of those people and often leave my Asus 18" laptop in the office because of its bulkiness. This would seriously solve my issue to run aerospace simulation on the plane, at the factory, ...

Great job, GPD!

This would make the perfect device if they figured out a way to make the screen turn to back or turn down like a bigger version of the Pocket 4 kinda.

The Win 5 recently launched as a powerful gaming handheld with the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395. As spotted by a Redditor, GPD has also teased a refresh for the Win Max, which will bring the same powerful APU in a different form factor.
