Quote from: JohnSmith001 on November 06, 2025, 13:58:19I am not very knowledgeable about computers, but I feel like this article could be wrong. Why? Well, I don't think that any Acer Helios RTX 4070 laptop has ever been listed on Amazon, and if it has been it was probably well over $2,000. This article provides links to the supposed RTX 4070, but when I click on the links it just takes me to a RTX 4060 listing. According to CamelCamelCamel, Amazon had sold the RTX 4060 for $1,899 but around the time of this listing, the price dropped to $1,399. That would explain the article's mention of the "time sensitive $500 price cut." So I think this article was always about the RTX 4060, but the author wrongly referred to it as the RTX 4070 instead.
While what you wrote very well might be the case, however the source article (and comments, other than yours) are dated LAST YEAR (IE:2024) wherein the RTX40xx series might of been current generation.
Here NOW in November 2025 I'd expect to get a RTX50xx series dGPU for that same listed $1,899 or $1,299-$1,399 and I'd expect the older PRIOR generation offerings to be discounted even further (if they could be found new in the 1st place).
