2800 Euro for only 8GB VRAM..

Using a GeForce RTX 5050 Laptop and giving it only 8 GB VRAM is one thing, but doing the same to a 5070 Laptop, another.

8GB VRAM is not enough anymore (don't care how good the device is otherwise). U don't believe me? Just see e.g. Hardware Unboxed on YouTube (they were one of the first who exposed this. U probably didn't know, but Aussies have a big PC community, may be that's also why - and they [Hardware Unboxed] are honest) or this very recent news:

Indeed, to say the very least, but let me fix it for you: .. will become unplayable or crash.

Wait, if you can, for next year' Refresh, which will use 3 GB per GDDR7 chip, instead of the current 2 GB (8 GB VRAM will then become 12 GB VRAM). The 5090 Laptop with its 24 GB VRAM is only a 5080 GPU chip (=256-bit) in disguise, otherwise it would only have 16 GB VRAM: See en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GeForce_RTX_50_series#Mobile, the same GB203 chip is being used for 16 GB and 24 GB configs: 256-bit / 32-bit per chip = 8 GDDR7 chips, once with 2 GB per chip (=16 GB VRAM) and once with 3 GB per chip (=24 GB VRAM). This is common knowledge.

LG G5 TV also got tandem OLED and its viewing angle plummeted (see RTINGS' LG G5 review: youtu.be/Cyu8-zviNJo?t=654). Is this also the case for the tandem OLED used in this notebook?

Yes, the grainy touch in OLED displays like ASUS ProArt laptop or other Lenovo laptops was the main reason that prevented me from diving into OLD displays, but also the resolution! The 2.8k and even more, the 2560x1600 displays are such a bust for scale up in Windows! I feel like 3200x2000 is the sweet spot for 16" size, as a 200% scale works perfect with most apps.
I also hope Samsung will develop a mate anti-reflective layer for the OLED screens, like the one on their QD-OLED, without the touch functionality. I don't know who would use touch on a laptop, I would never! Yes, for convertibles is a must, but I hate to touch my display while working on a laptop, so it's just a gimmick for those that know nothing about the actual functionality of a mobile workstation.

Great to see Lenovo have the brightest Tandem OLED with an option to not choose the possibly grainy touch layer that might cause grain on bright surfaces, grainy touch layer have been a reason for returning Lenovo OLEDs in the past.

Shame they didnt put Thunderbolt 5 in this. Portable, great display, good speakers and great keyboard would put it as the best eGPU contender. Otherwise a neat package.

Shame it doesn't offer a matte display option. It would have been a buy.
