I'm currently on the hunt for hot tub covers for sale as our current cover is showing serious signs of wear — the foam is sagging, the vinyl cover has cracked, and it's not insulating well anymore. I want to replace it but would like some guidance first.

My priorities are durability (especially in outdoor exposure), strong insulation (to reduce energy cost when the tub is covered), and a good fit (our tub is non-standard size). I'm wondering where others have purchased from, which brands they trust, and what kinds of features made a difference for them. Also interested in whether custom-made covers are worth the extra cost compared to off-the-shelf sizes, and how much variation in price is reasonable.
