Mike Ybarra argumentiert, dass Exklusivtitel nach wie vor ein Verkaufsargument für Konsolen sein können. So sind die exklusiven Titel für die Nintendo Switch 2 nur auf dem Handheld spielbar und haben dadurch Käufer dazu gebracht, das System zu kaufen.
