Die Schweizer Empa-Forschungsanstalt präsentiert im Rahmen des EU-Projekts HyPELignum eine nahezu vollständig biologisch abbaubare Bio-Computermaus. Das Gerät nutzt nicht nur ein Gehäuse aus biobasiertem Material, sondern auch eine innovative Lignocellulose-PCB als Trägermaterial. Diese Holzfaser-Leiterplatte soll das derzeitige, nicht recycelbare Epoxidharz ersetzen und die E-Waste-Reduktion in der Elektronikindustrie signifikant vorantreiben.
