If you ever wonder why something so blatantly useful is removed from any tech, it always a safe bet to assume its about making more profit either through cutting production costs or creating a new revenue stream (i.e. dongles, peripherals). Apple has perfected doing business this way.

Acer has always had RJ-45 Ethernet, never dropped it.

Wired internet may seem like an anachronism to many younger users in the year 2025, but it still remains the most reliable way to connect to the World Wide Web - or internal company networks. HP had removed the RJ45-Ethernet port on many of its business laptops, but with the 2025 model, it makes a return on some of them.
