Four physical cores, in my experience, are clearly insufficient for a modern laptop requiring multitasking. Six physical cores is borderline. Eight physical cores is the bare minimum in my opinion...
It's a shame that Dell is trying to sell us new machines that are practically obsolete right out of the box... ;-(
