See, you shouldn't be a writing an article about video games if you use brilliant to describe a game as aggressively lackluster as Ghost of Yotei, putting it in the same group of genre defining as games like Baldur's Gate 3, Expedition 33, Doom Eternal, Legend of Zelda, Mario, Ys 8:Lacrimosa of Dana, Hell is Us, Infamous, Ghost of Tsushima... You know, those games that are actually genre defining, envelope pushing, actually brilliant games.

Ghost of Yotei is what you get if someone cheats off the homework of several others who all got a 65% accuracy on their test.  Naoe and Atsui are the same character, and I have sticks in my yard with more interesting stories and personalities than they do.  The story of the game is also the same "Revenge is bad...mmmmk" story used again and again, also, AC Shadows.  Even Stellar Blade has a objectively better story.  Then pointlessly killing off an awesome character people would have loved to play more as and swapping in a bland boring narcissistic girlboss like we've seen again and again, like Last of Us Two.  The combat is nearly identical to Ghost of Tsushima, just swapping stances out and weapons in and adding that stupid, cringe banshee shriek power.  It's so awful.  Then, stuffing the game full of pointless, irritating mini-games to pad out the playtime so they didn't have to try to continue the awful story further, just like Square did with FF7 Rebirth.  Cheating off the homework of other incredibly mid games.  I'm probably not going to read anymore of your article because it's obvious you never played the game, OR you are being intellectually dishonest about the game.

Brilliant as it may be, Sucker Punch's new game, Ghost of Yotei, is causing PS5s to trip off in a rather bizzare manner. Here's how it happens, and what to try out if you're in a similar bind.
